Morrison Misses Out on Summer MVP, Impresses in Summer League

Updated:

Adam Morrison has done his part. Now it's up to the Clippers – or the Nets.

Morrison scored a whopping 26 points Sunday against the Celtics in the final game of the summer league. Twelve of those points came off three-pointers.

The former Gonzaga star's performance over the weekend was no anomaly. He scored 18 on Saturday against the Bulls, 22 against the Lakers, 23 against San Antonio and 11 points against Minnesota.

Morrison's performance apparently wasn't enough to earn him an MVP award. Instead, Josh Selby and Damian Lillard got the summer league nods despite the crowd's chanting that Morrison get the award.

Morrison averaged 20 points through five summer league games, and he shot 62 percent from the field. He told NBC Sports when it was all finished that he was "lucky that they game me a chance to come out here and play."
