KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. -- Washington State Department of Transportation says a sudden storm has caused State Route 821 to be closed 17 miles north of Selah to Ellensburg due to a mudslide.
DOT expects the roadway to be closed for several days. Clean up work could last a week or more.
No injuries or stranded vehicles have been reported.
The storm has also caused some minor flooding along the
Vantage Highway and power outages from fallen trees.
