SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

Spokane Shock quarterback Erik Meyer practiced with the team for the first time since March on Wednesday. Whether he will actually play another down in the Arena Football League is still up in the air.

Meyer left in the second half of the Shock's first game of the season back in March. He took a brutal hit that gave him a concussion and forced him onto the Injured Reserve list. Four months later, he is still on IR and may not return for either of Spokane's final two games.

Meyer said he will have to evaluate his condition with his friends and family and determine whether he will try to play again – this season or next.

"The last few days I've been thinking about it and I have one free practice so I thought I'd come out and give it a shot, move around and try to get the feeling again," said Meyer. "And I'll make a decision from there."

Coach Andy Olson, too, said he will have to look at the practice film and talk it over before deciding to suit Meyer up again.

"We'll talk at the end of the day and see what we think about practice, see how he felt and see how his body is tomorrow, too, when he wakes up," said Olson. "If he feels good we'll explore the option."

Spokane plays at Kansas City on Saturday. Their final game is at home July 21 against Tampa.
