RICHLAND, Wash.
Benton County residents will have one more place to drive up and drop off election ballots this year with better accessibility.
Jefferson Park on Symons Street in Richland is now home to a new drive up ballot box location that is accessible for residents with disabilities and centrally located.
The Benton County Auditor and City of Richland Mayor celebrated with a ribbon cutting Monday for the box's new location.
"It was really important for us, first of all to find a location that we could have a drive up drop box cause that helps service our disable community," said Benton County Auditor Brenda Chilton
The Jefferson Park ballot drop box is the second box inside Richland. All ballot drop boxes will be open starting July 19th. No stamps are required if dropped in a Benton County ballot box.
