YAKIMA, Wash. - Firefighters from Yakima, Union Gap, Easy Valley, Naches and the Yakima Training Center, along with Yakima Sheriff's Deputies, Yakima Police Department, and Washington State Patrol searched for a man who disappeared in the Naches River overnight.
The search ended around seven last night when rescue workers found the body of the 24 year old Martin Diego from Tacoma trapped beneath the water's surface.
The Yakima Fire Batallion chief says the man had been swimming with friends, who called 911 when they noticed him missing after 10-15 minutes.
