The Dalles wildfire burns 70 acres

THE DALLES, Ore. (AP) - A 70-acre wildfire threatened homes near The Dalles, and homeowners tried to protect their property with garden hoses.

Firefighters say winds spread the flames, but had it 70 percent contained by Sunday night.

No structures were lost, No injuries reported.
