KGH offering a diabetes day camp

Posted: Updated:

Leaders at Kennewick General Hospital say they want to help children with diabetes manage their disease.

They're putting together a day camp for 20 children diagnosed with type one diabetes, it'll be called Camp KGH.

There are many activities planned including arts and crafts, swimming and rock wall climbing.

They're hoping to make the camp an annual event.

The camp is open to children with type one diabetes between the ages of 7 and 14. The deadline to register is July 15th.
