UNION GAP, Wash. -- Civil War battles come to life at Fulbright Park in Union Gap this weekend.
Dozens of participants from all across the state are taking part in the war re-enactment.
The event is put on by the Washington Civil War Association.
Don Parchen says he drove from Richland to come watch Saturday's re-enactment for the first time in Union Gap. Parchen's daughter is one of the actors who is role-playing in the war event.
"They are so careful about making sure that everything dates to that period, and the tactics and the uniforms. These folks really do a great job," Parchen explained.
You can catch more Civil War battles on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The cost for admission is $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and kids. Children ages five and under are free.
