YAKIMA & PASCO, Wash.-- The U.S. Postal Service has again postponed closing hundreds of mail processing centers around the country.
Both Pasco and Yakima mail sorting facilities were scheduled to close this year.
Pasco's operations will now stay open until next February.
In Yakima, folks there will have a processing center until January 2014. 19 employees there were expected to lose their jobs next month.
The USPS says the delay will give employees, unions, and customers more time to plan for changes.
