EPHRATA, Wash. Grant County Sheriff's Deputies say a 2-year-old boy officers found severely malnourished last month remains on life support at a hospital in Spokane.
When emergency responders went to the Moses Lake home they found the boy's heart had stopped and he had a body temperature of 89 degrees. He weighed less than 10 pounds.
Deputies say the mother told a detective she had consulted a naturalist and a Chinese herbal provider for treatment.
Child Protective Services removed four other children from the home. The county prosecutor hasn't decided what if any charges the mother may face.
