SPOKANE, Wash. - The Washington National Guard and Fairchild Air Force Base are upset with two nursing mothers who were photographed in uniform breast-feeding their babies.
The photos were taken professionally and posted as part of Mom2Mom's campaign to promote Breast-Feeding Week in August.
The National Guard says it's a violation of regulations to use the uniform to promote a cause, but the two women will likely not be disciplined- instead it will be used for an opportunity for education.
A spokesman for the Air Force base says there's no issue with moms in the military breast-feeding, but campaigning in uniform is not allowed.
