LAKESIDE, Ore.- The city administrator was soangry over getting fired, city leaders say Charlie Hill changed the passwords on her computer and now city workers can't access some computer files.
Hill denies she locked the computers in retaliation and says staffers may have typed her passwords incorrectly. Hill has filed a claim against the city.
The Lakeside newspaper, The World, reports Hill had a similar experience with a former employer. She filed suit, claiming wrongful termination, and won a $7,000 settlement with the Lakeside Rural Fire Protection District. Its staff also was unable to access password-protected files after she was fired.
Lakeside Mayor Ed Gowan says workers are re-entering data for the council to approve the budget next month.
