NEAR TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Two Wapato men are dead after they were thrown from their car, Sunday morning.
It happened in the area of North Track Road and Winaway Road, just before 4 a.m., about two miles northwest of Toppenish.
The Washington State Patrol say the Dodge Magnum went off the roadway to the right, overcorrected and hit a telephone pole, before coming to a rest on its top.
Troopers say 25-year-old Filiberto Gil and 18-year-old Alberto Mendez were both ejected from the vehicle. They say it's unclear which victim was the driver.
WSP is investigating the cause of the crash.
