KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Vista Family Health in Kennewick offered scouts and sports physicals for kids for only ten dollars.
The clinic gives discount physicals once a year for children needing a check-up before camp or sports seasons. Last year about three hundred people attended and they anticipate similar numbers this year. Vista doctor, Mark Flesher, says people really appreciate the physicals.
"For a lot of families that are struggling in the economy, being able to get the physicals so your kid can participate in sports for only ten bucks, is a way they can participate when they might not otherwise be able to. So we get a lot of people that are really grateful," says Flesher.
All the proceeds from the physicals will go to the Boy Scouts of America.
