SELAH, Wash. -- A Selah man was able to walk away after his airplane crash landed into a field, Saturday afternoon.
The FAA tells KNDO the 1920's Curtiss Wright airplane had a broken landing gear.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Sheep Company Road.
Kerri Huffines says she mowing the lawn outside her home, when she saw the plane crash land into a nearby field.
Huffines says she spoke to the pilot and that he was not hurt.
Meanwhile, the FAA and NTSB will continue to investigate the crash.
The plane is registered to Richard Pingrey.
