PASCO, Wash. -- A big shot in the arm Thursday for the Team Pasco Home project.
Thursday afternoon, Lowe's presented them with a $100,000.00 dollar check. The money will go toward tools and supplies for future projects.
"I felt what can we do, how can we secure some funds from Lowe's to help these kids and help our community," explains Maggie Morris of Lowe's.
The Team Pasco Home project is made up of students from Pasco, Chiawana, and New Horizons high schools.
With guidance from local businesses, contractors, and their instructors, students helped design and build an entire house.
Building a home isn't easy, which some students like Brenda Sanchez found out first hand, "Putting up walls and tiling, even though it was hard, that was the best party I liked about."
the team's latest project is a home near Road 44 in Pasco.
The house, and a home built by students last year are both on the market and waiting for buyers.
