Oregon lottery makes website less kid friendly

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Oregon Lottery is revamping plans on an Internet game website, originally called "the ORcade."

Lottery officials put the launch on hold last fall because critics said a free game and social media networking site might appeal to children. Among other recommendations, an advisory group suggested a feature that would shut down the website after a user exceeds a certain time limit. The Lottery also no longer plans to use the name "ORcade."

A spokesman for the Lottery says it's unclear whether a separate website will go forward, or if the new changes will be made to the current site.
