20 honored at Salvation Army Annual Appreciation Luncheon

RICHLAND, Wash.—Big contributors in our community were honored Wednesday at the Salvation Army Annual Appreciation Luncheon.

The Salvation Army thanked 20 of their local supporters and donors of 2011 at the Shilo Inn in Richland. The director says a big help are the people who allow them to collect donations at their businesses.

"Then we go there and put our kettles and as customers come in they drop their donation and that's how we're able to collect funding that help us to help families in need," says Major Julio Vasquez, Salvation Army Director.
