YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima's largest job fair was held at State Fair Park Tuesday.
Hundreds of people turned out to the Modern Living Building to talk with 49 different employers about current job openings.
Organizers say last year they had around 2200 people turn out and just in the first hour Tuesday they saw almost a thousand.
Folks walking around said it was a great opportunity to meet face-to-face with potential employers.
"I think it's helpful. It puts a lot of jobs in one spot and makes it more convenient to find. Although I think it definitely adds to the competition level because there's so many people all at one time," said Jonathon Davis.
This event happens once a year in Yakima, but the South Central Workforce Council says they'll have a similar, retail job fair in the fall for anyone still looking for work.
