Around 9,000 Washington State alumni in the Tri-Cities have reason to celebrate.
Not only are the Cougs hosting Portland at Gesa Stadium Tuesday; they're also sending a permanent Assistant Athletic Director to the Tri-Cities.
Casey Fox will be in charge of marketing, fundraising, and media events.
Fox says he has family roots in the Tri-Cities, and looks forward to calling it home.
"We moved all over the country. We've lived in Maryland, Utah and Pullman. Coming back and making this move. It's almost a homecoming for me. We're looking forward to it," says Fox.
The school already has directors in Spokane and Seattle, but it's a brand new position for the Tri-Cities.
