TACOMA, Wash. - A team of rowers finished up their 640 mile trip around Vancouver, BC this week.
After a 22 day voyage, Jordan Hanssen and Greg Spooner lead their team back home in a 29-foot boat on Wednesday, May 2. The trip included seven stops on land that the team was forced to make due to bad weather.
The four-man-team's next expedition will have them rowing from Africa to South America. With no possible stops for land on that trip, they hope to catch currents and cruise west traveling at nearly 100 miles each day.
The rowers are with Northwest Oar, a Seattle-based organization. This last expedition was sponsored by the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
