Two schools. Eight miles. And yet, the two teams on the Palouse haven't played each other in football for what seems like forever. All that is going to change next season.
Washington State and Idaho have agreed to renew the Battle of the Palouse beginning in the 2013 season. The game, to be played at Martin Stadium, is scheduled to take place on September 21.
The Cougars lead the all-time series 70-17-3. The two teams have not played each other since 2007.
Idaho Athletic Director Rob Spear said the agreement is part of the Vandals' plan to schedule at least one BCS conference school every season.
