Parade organizers sink wheat growers' float - NBC Right Now/KNDO/KNDU Tri-Cities, Yakima, WA |

SPOKANE, Wash.- Organizers of the Lilac Festival have told wheat growers they can't join the annual parade.         

Parade organizers say their policies prohibit lobbying groups to keep the parade from becoming a political event. 

The Washington Association of Wheat Growers had planned to drive a massive red tractor pulling a group of wheat farming families.         

The wheat growers say they are disappointed by the decision.
