YAKIMA, Wash. - Yakima County Sheriff's detectives arrested two people on Tuesday in connection with the murder of 40-year-old Jose Manuel Correa from earlier this month.

Correa was found dead in a nearly-empty irrigation canal near Granger on Monday, April 2nd. His family reported him missing the Saturday before, the same night his truck was found, burned.

The Yakima County Coroner determined Correa's death was the result of blunt force trauma to the head.

Sheriffs detectives arrested a 24 year-old man and a 19 year-old woman, and booked them into the Yakima County Corrections facility. Their names have not yet been released.

The investigation is continuing to develop, and detectives say more arrests are expected.
