YAKIMA, Wash.-- Tree Top donates nearly 38,000 pounds of apple juice and applesauce to Northwest Harvest in Yakima.
The food is valued at more than $15,000. Northwest Harvest volunteers say the food will last them about five to six weeks. They say it's easy to store, has a long shelf life, and they can serve it to all ages.
"From our senior citizens down to families with very young children and all in between. Everybody can use this food so it's... It's far reaching," says Rosemary Rief of Northwest Harvest.
Tree Top makes two donations to Northwest Harvest every year. They're the largest gifts the organization receives.
