YAKIMA, Wash.-- The Humane Society of Central Washington is closer to winning a $100,000 prize.
They came in first place last night in the qualifying heat of the ASPCA Rachael Ray 100K Challenge. For the second part of the competition, the Humane Society will have to adopt or return at least 300 more pets than they did last year. The shelter that shows the most improvement over the previous year will win the grand prize.
We'll be sure to follow their progress and report back.
