X-Factor tryouts coming to Pendleton

PENDLETON, Ore., -- Wildhorse Resort is offering local contestants a chance to shine on the big stage.  X-Factor, a FOX TV reality singing show, is coming to Wildhorse, April 28th at 9am as a stop on their audition pass tour.

 
"We are very excited to host the X-Factor Audition Pass here at Wildhorse Resort & Casino" said Gene Stachowski, Director of Marketing for Wildhorse Resort.  "It's not very often that we will get the opportunity to align ourselves with such a prestigious event."
 
Simon Cowell created the X-Factor in 2004 in the United Kingdom, it is now held in various countries across the globe, pitting contestants against each other in a pop singing competition for the grand prize of a $5 million recording contract.
 
Acts, either solo singers or groups, are allowed to line up no earlier than 6am at Cayuse Hall in Wildhorse Resort. Registration will begin at 8am. The first 100 acts in line will get to audition beginning at 9am. Each act will have one minute to sing a cappella for the judges.  The group of talent will be narrowed down, based on judge's scores, to the top 10.  The top 10 will be allowed to perform for two minutes with instrumental accompaniment in CD or acoustic guitar format.  One winning act will be selected.
 
The winning act will receive airfare, hotel and an audition in front of the X-Factor producers in Providence, RI at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on May 10, 2012.
 
Contestants must be at least 12 years old and a legal US citizen.  If you are under 18 years of age, you must be accompanied by your parent or legal guardian.  Each contestant should bring two forms of identification.
