PASCO, Wash.-- Columbia Basin College has been recognized as a tree campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation
In honor of receiving this award for the third consecutive year trees were planted by students, staff and the community at the Center for Career and Technical Education at CBC.
"It just means we're making great strides toward being a greener CBC. It means actively involved in improving," says John Myers, CBC student.
The college had to meet five core standards including a tree advisory committee, a campus tree-care plan, dedicated annual expenditures for its tree program, a Arbor Day observance, and the sponsorship of student service-learning projects.
