A dog can be your best friend, or a big pain in the neck.
Experts say teaching your pup commands like sit, stay and "leave it" is really important, and makes the relationship much easier.
Trainer Angie Flores is teaching a class in Kennewick on the subject.
She brought her dog Misty on our morning show to display how training is great for the pet and the owner.
"You go through all the motions, all the training, and you get this dog that is just right there for you ready to do anything for you. It's just awesome that feeling is just awesome," says "Pawsitive" Dog Trainer Angie Flores
Flores says one training tip, never show your dog a treat before a command. Dogs are smart, and you'll have to bribe them every time from then on.
