Small quake recorded near Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) - The National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo., reports a magnitude 3.5 earthquake Monday night in southeast Washington.

There were no immediate reports of damage. By late Monday night, the center's website had received only one report from a resident who felt the quake.

The quake was centered about 18 miles west of Walla Walla at a depth of about eight miles. The earthquake information center is part of the U.S. Geological Survey.
