Fever prepare for road game in New Mexico

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash. -- Friday the 5-0 Tri-Cities Fever travel to the 1-2 New Mexico Stars. Fever players continue to prepare each day as if they have not won a game. Friday defensive player of the week Brandon Wilson and the Fever will face a quarterback they know in Arkelon Hall. In last year's playoffs, the Fever beat Hall's West Texas Roughnecks. They will take Friday's road game just as highly.

"Whenever we play road games it's twice as hard to get the win. But as far as this team, they've got a good squad, they've got a good quarterback, they've got good running backs. Just as a defense, we have to execute our assignments," Wilson said.

"They've got a good quarterback. Arkelon Hall is a good player. We saw him last year in the playoffs. He did really well against us. He throws a great ball. Chris Williams, the head coach down there, has experience. He'll have his guys ready," head coach Adam Shackleford added.
