The tax deadline is coming up next month, and AARP is offering some free tax help for seniors in our area.
There are several sessions scheduled at senior centers, community centers, and libraries in Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, and Yakima counties. Those sessions are scheduled on weekdays and weekends. They're also scheduled in the mornings and in the afternoon and evenings. Walk-ins are welcomed at many of the sessions, but appointments are required in some locations.
The easiest way to find a location near you is to go to this website: www.aarp.org/taxaide.
They'll ask you to type in your address, and then they'll search for the session closest to you. You can also call 1-888-AARP-NOW, and get that information over the phone.
