BENTON COUNTY, Wash. --Benton County leaders declare a flood emergency.
Homeowners are keeping an eye on the Yakima river as major flooding is expected. The river reached flood stage Tuesday morning, and as of 3:00 PM was at 14.4 feet.
That number is expected to rise to 16 feet when the river should crest Wednesday afternoon. Low lying roads and other areas could expect the worst damage.
