RICHLAND, Wash.-- A civil lawsuit filed in January, against a former Richland physical therapist is now being backed federally.
In October, Rafat Shirinzadeh's physical therapy license was suspended for three years after was he found guilty of unprofessional conduct for inappropriately touching some of his patients.
Now, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says claims of negligence and inappropriate medical practices against Shirinzadeh are true.
The lawsuit also alleges Oasis staff knew about Shirinzadeh's inappropriate medical practices and failed to take reasonable action.
