FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. - A car plunged into a canal southwest of Basin City on Monday but the driver was no where to be seen.
Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies and the Dive Rescue team were called in to see if anyone was inside the car. After speding three hours at the scene, divers concluded there was no one trapped in the car.
Sheriffs said they think the car was being towed by another and when it fell into the canal, the driver decided to just leave it partially submerged.
Now deputies are looking for the owner of the car who has a warrant out for their arrest and also faces illegal dumping charges.
The car was pulled from the canal and was impounded by the sheriff's office.
