KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A kitten that was shoplifted from the Aqua Tropics pet store in Kennewick is back at the store while a couple is in jail facing several charges.
Police say Teresa Delgado ran out of the store with the kitten Thursday without paying for it.
A witness wrote down the license plate of the car Delgado left in with a man driving.
Police pulled the car over and arrested both Delgado and Daniel Jack, Jr.
Delgado faces theft charges while Jack faces driving with a suspended license and possession of a dangerous weapon charges for having two knives. He also had a local misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.
The cat was recovered and returned to Aqua Tropics.
