Cash for Appliances begins phase one

Posted: Updated:

Get money back.. If you buy the right appliances.

We are now in phase one of the government's Cash for Appliances Program. What this means for you is a possible 25-percent instant rebate on energy efficient water heaters. The program is aimed to encourage shoppers to buy energy efficient products while helping you keep more money in your wallet.

Phase one begins with water heaters, but starting in April you'll be able to get a 15 percent rebate on energy efficient refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers, dishwashers and air conditioners.
