UPDATE 4:50 P.M.- The family of 19 year old Tyler Bies say he was a recent graduate of Riverview high school and had planned to become a welder.

FINLEY, Wash. --  Benton County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a fatal train accident in Finley. It happened just off of State Route 397 and Cochran Road.

The Benton County coroner says the victim has been identified as 19 year old Tyler Bies. Bies lived just a few blocks away from where he was hit.

Benton County sheriff's spokesman Steve Keane says a passer-by found the body Wednesday morning.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman Gus Melonas say the man was hit at 7:50 a.m. by a freight train traveling from Portland. Investigators are questioning the crew at a stop at Hauser, Idaho.

Melonas says the man was struck 120 feet from the nearest crossing. He says the death was the 15th this year in Washington of someone trespassing on BNSF track.

They are investigating the incident as an accident, and say it does not appear suspicious at this time.
