RICHLAND, Wash. -- The state Department of Social and Health Services has stopped admissions, revoked and suspended the license of Parkview Adult Family Care Home in West Richland.
The family home is privately operated and located at 1702 South Highlands Blvd in West Richland.
DSHS says they found numerous violations jeopardizing the safety and well-being of residents. Some of those include failure to immediately notify a physician when a resident fell, sustaining head and neck injuries, failure to ensure that there was sufficient staff to meet required needs, and failure to ensure that residents' medications were kept in locked storage.
Current residents have been moved. The provider has 28 days to contest the suspension.
