Energy council approves Desert Claim Wind Farm project

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Desert Claim Wind farm project Northwest of Ellensburg is one step closer to being built.

The state's site evaluation council is recommending that Governor Gregiore approve the project. A draft site agreement has been written between the state and Desert Claim Wind Power.

Governor Gregiore has the final decision on wind farm projects, she's expected to decide within the next couple of months.
