Wapato Teacher Charged With Child Rape & Molestation

YAKIMA, Wash.- 26 year-old Jesus Barcenas is charged with five counts of child rape, and five counts of child molestation Monday afternoon. Police say Barcenas had sex with a 12 year-old student multiple times, once in his classroom. We're told Barcenas taught 5th grade at Adams Elementary in Wapato for several years, this year he was a substitute teacher. According to police, Barcenas was dating the alleged victim's mother and eventually moved into their Yakima home. Barcenas' bail is set at $200,000, his trial is February 11th.
