It was in Celina, Ohio and 21-year old Jimmy Shane was the aboard the U-7, which was designated the U-1 for 2007 after Mike Allen won the national high points team championship.

Meet Jimmy Shane - replacement driver of the U-1 FormulaBoats.com Unlimited Hydroplane

21-year old Jimmy Shane will replace Mike Allen as driver of the U-1 FormulaBoats.com unlimited hydroplane at the Tri-Cities Water Follies event.  "I have been hoping for this day for a long time, especially since driving the boat in Celina last year," said the 21-year old Shane. "I know this is a short term deal while Mike is out, but getting qualified as an Unlimited driver is the first big step for what I hope is a long career at this level. "
