Richland Graduates Launch Web sites

Updated:

Kennewick - The wine industry and web 2.0 technologies have converged at BuyersVine.com.  Co-founders Mark Michael and Daniel Rust launched their wine web seach tool from their Seattle office, and it is expected to benefit both the wine industry and the community that keeps it alive.

Michael and Rust are graduates out of Richland, went to college at Central Washington University and now are partnered at their firm, Synapse Corporate Solutions.

"We found that though wineries had web sites," Rust said, "they could not effectively promote their wines to a larger audience."  BuyersVine.com presents the latest offerings from the wine industry, offers blog capability, and ecommerce.

When interviewed, Rust's father said his son began experiementing with computers before he was in his teens.  Meanwhile, Annette Michael, a travel agent, said her son designed her web site twelve years ago, when he himself, was just twelve.

The partners have now also launched SynapseWine.com, a customized package for the winery and wine distributions industry.
