This weeks Academic All-Star is Connells Drew Jenks. He is on wrestling team, plays baseball and in one of the top 1-A football teams. The Connell Eagles is one of the top ranked teams in the state. Drew Jenks feels pressure on and off the field. Drew's Mom is pretty hard on him; if his grades fall Jenks cannot play football. He has aa GPA of 3.91 and a member of the Honors Society. The Eagles have a perfect record to defend.

Academic All Star - Erin Smith

Erin Smith is typically a quiet person, but when she is on the volley ball court she is an awesome player. Selah Vikings are ranked second in the state and finished second in the state last season. The Vikings goal is to try and win state championship; with Erin as part of the team, then anything is possible. Smith also has a 3.85 GPA, in the honor society and runs track. Erin Smith is an amazing athlete and student.

Academic Allstar - Tiana Baker

This week's academic All-star is Prosser Senior Tiana Baker. She has a sterling 3.98 GPA. Tiana also takes part in the honor's society and is the school's Executive Treasure. Tiana Baker love soccer and thrives on the field. When she is on the field, she is completely focused. It's her dedication that keeps her excelling on and off the field. Baker hopes to head to Seattle University or the University of Washington next year.

Academic All-Star - Mary Orthmann

This weeks Academic All-Star goes to Mary Orthmann. She attends East Valley High School, where she is one of the leaders on her soccer squad, not only that, she is involved in multiple activies throughout the year. She sings in the choir, plays basketball and softball and is in a christian athelete fellowship. All while holding a 3.985 G.P.A. As the youngest of seven she looks to take her skills to Lewis and Clark in Portland or Central Washington University.

Academic All-Star - Rachel Gerboth

Rachel Gerboth, a senior at Kamiakin High School, where she excels in and out of the classroom. She runs cross-country and does track for the Braves. She is always laughing, but once in the classroom Gerboth gets serious. She has a 4.0, is part of the National Honors Society and looks to capture valadictorian as well as state this year. Thats not the only thing on her mind, a big decision going into college next year, UW or WSU, becoming a husky or a coug.

Academic All-Star - Erin Huisingh

Chiawana Soccer Star Erin Huisingh is scoring goals on and off the field. Erin has excellent leadership skills; she pushes the other players to play harder. Last year Erin knock in 16 goals and hopes to achieve more this year. In the classroom she has a 3.9 GPA and wants to go to SPU or Gonzaga. She mentors freshman, plays basketball and plans on track in the spring. Congratulations Erin Huisingh!

Academic All-Star - Eisenhower Seth Kline

As a 3-year starting Varsity Line Backer, Seth Kline wants to be a Washington State Cougar next year. Seth sets his his goals high on the football field and in the classroom. Seth has a 3.6 GPA and is a member or the National Honor Society. He wants to take his talents on the football field and in the classroom.

Academic All-Star: Southridge's Brodrick Hirai

This week's Academic All-Star is Southridge Senior Brodrick Hirai. He always wants to be the best, whether it is on the football field or off it. He is part of an experienced Southridge Sun offensive line that has been dominating opponents. But, he also has the brains to match. Hirai has a 4.0, was on the track team, and he mentors freshman through a program called Ignite. He's also the president of the National Honor's Society.
