The Weather Authority Forecast
    Hi 48 F
Lo 32 F

Updated: Monday, February 8th -- 5:30 P.M.

Our new week is off to a nice and mild start with no showers in the region and temperatures in the 40's and low 50's. We've also had areas of dense fog and low clouds that were slow to burn off during the day.

High pressure will continue to dominate our weather for the next few days, so no showers will move in until late Wednesday and Thursday. Some of those showers will dribble over into Friday and perhaps Saturday. Highs will continue in the upper 40's and low 50's.

Here is an interesting item from the history books: On today's date, back in 1989 - A winter storm over California produced snow from the beaches of Malibu to the desert canyons around Palm Springs, and the snow created mammoth traffic jams in the Los Angeles Basin. Sixteen cities in the western U.S. reported record low temperatures for the date. Marysville CA reported an all-time record low reading of 21 degrees above zero.

Have A Great Evening!

Tim
